                                        We are Neighborhood Foundations

You knew us as, “The Housing Authority of Newport” but we are much more than that. So, we appropriately               re-branded ourselves as “Neighborhood Foundations,” we are a premier property management organization, proudly serving the folks that call Newport and Campbell County their home, and have respectfully been named one of the best Hope VI Initiatives in the United States. While we remain dedicated to providing quality-affordable housing, we also aid in community support, offer opportunities, and strive to provide a quality of living second to none.

 

We are Neighborhood Foundations, we invite you in, and to learn more about how we revolutionized the public                                                             housing sector and transformed the philosophy that goes with it.

Waiting Lists Opened until October 15, 2020

Neighborhood Foundations will begin accepting applications for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program on September 1st at 8:30 a.m., and through October 15, 2020, 4:00 p.m. 


Applications will also be accepted during the same period for the 2 and 3 bedroom lists for the Scattered Site developments.

 

All Applications must be submitted on-line at https://www.waitlistcheck.com/KY1014

Applicants may use any computer, tablet or smart phone with internet access to apply.  Free computer access may be available at your local library.

Paper applications will no longer be accepted at the Central Office for either of these or any other programs or developments.

NOTICE

 

Due to the COVID-19 Virus outbreak, and in an effort to follow the CDC’s guidelines regarding social distancing to keep the public and our staff as healthy and safe as possible, THIS OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC EFFECTIVE NOON TODAY, TUESDAY, MARCH 17TH, AND UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. 

 

We will continue to be here, and you may use the drop box for rent or document drop off.  And we will continue to address emergency and some priority work orders ONLY until further notice.  Please continue to use the phone line (859-581-2533) to call in any such work needed in your unit. 

 

Also, we are very aware that many of our residents have been laid off due to the COVID-19 outbreak and may need to report a change of income.  Until further notice, you may do so over the phone or via email with your respective case worker or housing manager.  They will instruct you on what to do with the required documentation.  Email addresses and direct phone extensions can be found on our web site at www.neighborhoodfoundations.com

Also until further notice, we are suspending the working requirement for all of the scattered-site housing developments.

  • Neighborhood Foundations (The Housing Authority of Newport) will have its Agengy Plan including its Capital Funds Five Year and Annual Plans available for review and public comment between October 8, 2020 and December 14, 2020.  See the Newsroom page. 
     
  • Scattered Site Residents and Section 8 participants: Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we will be implementing some changes to our policies and procedures. One of those changes will be to implement streamlined procedures to reduce paper and processing time. If you would like to receive communications and electronic forms via email, please see the Newsroom page for the PDF form to complete and send back to our office. This form will be mailed to all residents as well. 
  • LANDLORD FORMS (Lease Agreement, W-9, Sample HAP Contract, etc.) are now available on the Section 8 Page. 
     
  • The Housing Authority offers for sale the following surplus property:
